There are different ways to tilt, depending on the individual circumstances of the individual hand. Learn to recognize them in order to ease yourself into long-term profitability.

  • Tilt Early – Blackjack

Tilting referred to as blackjack floating in internet casinos is the art of playing internet blackjack in such a way that you utilize a counting system in order to realistically gain a small edge over the casino. Blackjack floating can be effectively implemented in online casinos by using basic strategy and a playing strategy that is often referred to as card counting. According to basic strategy, a player should bet more money when holding a natural 21 or less, and bet the table minimum when holding a 21 or greater.

Playing against an advanced Blackjack player can be very difficult. If you have been studying the game and feel that they are taking an aggressive stance most hands, you can lay down a $5 bet to try and take the pot down with a reasonable hand. Since you are playing in a cash game, you can see that it is quite possible to be beat at blackjack and still win the hand. If you have a large stack of chips, you are more likely to win.

  • Tilt Mid Game – Texas Hold ‘Em

According to the Texas Hold ‘Em, a player is at his most aggressive in the middle of the game, either because he has a good hand and is attempting to make his opponents think he has something (remipoker), or because he is trying to control the size of the pot. Watch for frequent showdowns to be executed at this period of the game. If you happen to see two players raising at the same time, one is almost certainly bluffing. One of the opponents is actually holding a strong hand and is raising in response to the aggressive move by the other player. Often times you will see a player bet out with a large hand, trying to get equal or near the same size of a pot that he would have to split a small pot with.

  • Tilt late – Stud

In stud, a player’s reliability can be very subjective, especially in categories such as flushes and straights. However, in any game where opponents can have a wide range of cards, staying in for the flop usually offers a good strategy. If you think you have the best hand for the day, drawing to a better hand or being confident you have the worst hand can often pay off. Stay in for the turn or river when you have had the best of it and it would not hurt to stay in for the river, especially if you have made a similar raise with your good hand already.

  • staying in for the showdown

Believe it or not, not all players are weak when they are losing. They may be sharks that live on the edge, but as long as you are not quite ready to go out, there is no reason to chase a pot. After all, you have a pretty solid hand yourself, you rarely fight a big pot with your worst hand. Often, an opponent will have nothing and call or raise in order to make a better hand. If you make your hand better, you should at least stay in the pot, if not, it may be time to go back to the kitchen.

  • When is a good time to get out of a game?

There are several times to get out of a game, but they all add up to hand-times. Sometimes you are not playing well and another player puts you on such a weak hand that you should stay in with your bad hand. On the other hand, if you are playing against an opponent that is a shark and has been playing against you for a while, it is probably time to drop your hand.

Stay in only if you have a big hand or very close to one. If you have played your hand well but still do not get paid off, it may be time to go out now.

The decision on whether to stay in and play a hand or not, is a tough one. But if you cannot be bothered to finish the game, go out you may when you are playing one of your top hands. Do not finish a dubious pot and feed it money. Such a method puts the food on your plate before you have to deal with the issue.
